Organization's Bylaws
Our organization’s bylaws are the internal operating manual and legal rules governing how we are structured and how we function. These bylaws define membership with its rights and responsibilities, outlines meeting procedures, sets officer roles, provides essential guidance in decision-making, and more. Effectively, they act as a constitution for the organization, outlining essential governance without getting into day-to-day operations.
Remote Meeting Rules
Standing rules are the specific, day-to-day administrative procedures of an organization that are not in the bylaws. These standing rules govern the details of how members and guests participate in remote meetings, and how the meetings themselves are run. The goal of these rules is to provide consistency and continuity for members, especially new ones.
Executive Rules
Standing rules are the specific, day-to-day administrative procedures of an organization that are not in the bylaws. These standing rules define the specific structure of the organization’s Executive Board, and the roles and responsibilities of those included. They also explain our “Membership Policy Caucus” structure, as well as our process for Board recommendations for endorsement of candidates and campaigns.
Organization's Code of Conduct
This Code of Conduct states and defines our commitment to a certain standard of behavior and conduct, to which all who attend or participate in the meetings, events, or other efforts of the Organization, or who are otherwise affiliated with the Democratic Party or the 34th Legislative District, must be held. It also outlines the enforcement mechanisms in place to ensure accountability. Our Organization recognizes that our strength lies in our diversity. Members are urged to acknowledge, celebrate, foster, and build on that diversity in all they do.
