About Us
We are the Democratic Party organization for Washington’s 34th Legislative District, which includes: Burien, Georgetown, Pioneer Square, SODO, South Park, West Seattle, White Center, and Vashon-Maury Island. Together with other Party organizations and community-based partners, we work every day to support civic leaders, promote public policy, and inspire civic action to advance social, economic, political, and environmental justice for all.
DEMS 101
The Democratic Party is designed to be a grassroots movement, where each of its layers rests upon a more foundational organization. DEMS 101 is our attempt to put the complexities of Party organizing into clear and simple terms to help our community understand just what it is we are meant to do.
Governing Documents
As with any organization, ours requires procedures and rules to function well. Our bylaws and standing rules serve to define the roles within the organization, the work we perform, and the parameters within which we execute our various tasks.
