Voter Registration

Democrats do better on Election Day when more people vote. This is why we actively seek to make sure as many people as possible are registered to receive ballots on an on-going basis. 16-year-olds can pre-register. People new to the state, those that move to a new residence, change their name or are ex-offenders – all need to register or update their personal information. Many folks will not have this as a top priority in their lives, so it is an important task for us to see that they are ready to cast their ballot each election.

It is an easy process and can be efficiently done online. However, we know that a person is registered for sure when we collect their filled-out forms.

We must make sure that the information is correctly filled in and to promptly turn the forms in to King County elections – as soon as possible within a week of receiving them, or sooner if a registration deadline is looming.

Check out this comprehensive training video produced by Seattle Indivisible for best practices and helpful hints for successful voter registration. It incorporates the new voting laws passed in 2019:
