2020 Election Headquarters
The 2020 Primary, Caucus and General Election - What You Need to Know
Democrats across the country are standing up and fighting. We are more committed than ever to ensuring fairness and inclusion in our political processes and representation, but each victory – especially the presidency – will take all of us working together. Now is the time to get involved. Our representatives pass laws every day which affect us all, but most of us are unaware of their passage or effect. This is why we need your advocacy and activism. You can have an impact on our community, our state, our country, and the world – but only if you make your voice heard. Email email@example.com to get involved. Do it now!

Volunteer with the Coordinated Campaign 34th LD Phone Bank
At first, we resisted. We had to. But now it’s time for Democrats to go on offense. As we all stay home to protect ourselves and our neighbors from COVID-19, it is more important than ever to talk to voters across the state about what is at stake for ourselves and our neighbors in this year’s election. The WA Dems have created an innovative remote canvassing program with training webinars, phone banks, and texting events that you can join from home. This is your invitation to join the team!
Sign up today to learn more and volunteer! The 34th LD is organizing Thursday/Saturday phone banks starting July 6th and continuing through election day in November. Training is provided and you will phone bank using a web system, not your personal phone. All phone banking will be done from the comfort of your home. PCO Chair Nick Bonazza is leading the efforts with the help of 5 rockstar PCOs: Colleen Hinton, Jeff Sbaih, Leah Griffin, Carla Rogers and Max Brown. Sign up for more information and we will contact you to answer any questions you might have.
Get Engaged for 2020!
JOIN THE 34th DEMOCRATS!
We meet on the second Wednesday of each month from 6:30 to 9:00pm at the Hall at Fauntleroy in West Seattle. Information about past and upcoming meetings and events is available at www.34dems.org. Plan to join us at our monthly meetings being held virtually via Zoom conference. Check out upcoming events on our calendar.
BECOME A PCO!
The Precinct Committee Officer (PCO) is responsible for knocking on doors in their neighborhood Precinct area. The primary goal is to GET OUT THE VOTE! Being a PCO is a great way to meet your neighbors and identify voters. This is a KEY ROLE in the 34th and is crucial for getting as many voters as possible to cast their ballot in every election. Learn more and sign up to be a PCO!
Presidential Primary - March 10
In 2020, for the first time in Washington, cast our vote in a Primary rather than a Caucus. The March 10th Primary results determined the allocation of delegates for each candidate throughout the entire the delegate selection process.
Former Vice President Joe Biden – 46, popular vote 588,534 > 37.93% Senator Bernie Sanders – 43 delegates, popular vote 566,701 > 36.53% Washington sends 107 delegates and 7 alternates (89 pledged, 18 unpledged) to the Democratic National Convention.
LD Delegates Elected Virtually
The In-Person LD Caucus was CANCELLED due to the COVID-19 VIRUS.
The WA Democrats created an online process to elect our delegates. This process replaced the legislative district caucus. View the elected delegates to State Convention, held virtually on June 13th.
